The Challenges of a Systems Approach to Diabetes Management

Abstract
The article examines the challenges of organizing a systems approach to the treatment and rehabilitation of diabetics and identifies additional non-drug elements for supporting a comprehensive system of active disease management. A complete list of the most essential elements of the ANTIDIABET system proposed by the authors is presented. The article examines the organizational and educational elements of the diabetes management system, highlighting some shortcomings in their implementation.
