Thyroid function is critical during pregnancy, as thyroid hormones play a significant role in the development of the fetal brain and nervous system. Thyroid Stimulating Hormone (TSH) testing is an essential tool in monitoring thyroid function. This case study highlights the importance of TSH testing in women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant. It discusses the impact of thyroid dysfunction on pregnancy outcomes and underscores the need for routine TSH screening to ensure maternal and fetal health.
