Behavioral Disorders in Unilateral and Bilateral Cerebral Palsy: A Comparative Study

Abstract

This study sought to compare behavioral patterns between clinical groups of children who had cerebral palsy and a control group with typically developing. 262 children (age range 6 and 10 years, M= 5.74 years; SD = 1.82) participated in this study (61 clinical; 201 control). The Child Behavior Checklist, a widely used tool for assessing behavioral and emotional problems in children, and the Raven's Colored Progressive Matrices Test, a non-verbal intelligence test, were used to assess the children. Data analysis was done with descriptive and inferential statistic techniques. Student t-tests have shown significant differences between groups.
