Abstract
We investigated the temperature dependence of the electrical resistivity in YCo2 and LuCo2 . The magnetic free energy was expanded up to the sixth-order term in the magnetization because of the metamagnetism in YCo2 and LuCo2 . The selfconsistent renormalization theory of spin fluctuations (the SCR theory) was applied. The SCR theory includes the effects of the electronic correlations beyond the random phase approximation. We found that the electrical resistivity had T2 -linear dependence at low temperatures. The behaviors of the electrical resistivity were consistent with the experimental data qualitatively.
