Open AccessAn Exploration of the Applications of Integrating Quantum Physics with Psychology in Facilitating Novelty to Interrupt Chronic Defensive Patterns
Authors: Bruce Gregory.
Abstract
Milton Erickson’s toolbox of interventions that interrupted chronic, rigid, and maladaptive patterns of dealing with experience, facilitating unconscious healing processes, have been reviewed and analyzed in a number of sources for decades. This article will explore how these interventions relate to the three levels of hypnotic trance, the implications of these levels in terms of trust, capacity, time and the deeper structures and mechanics operating within the realms of Quantum Physics. The relationship between the interventions employed by Erickson in the February Man case and the Pauli and Dirac matrices underlying the Dirac equation will be explored in terms of yes sets, response sets, containment, the creative focusing of attention, and the appreciation and application of the role of depth in the treatment process. Erickson’s consciousness of appreciation with respect to time will be explored in terms of the possibilities of creatively focusing attention to facilitate the activation, development and sustainment of unconscious healing processes. The appreciation of inferences will be applied to the themes of structure, receiving and capacity to support professionals to increase their trust of their capacity to transform resistance into receptivity, and support patient’s capacity to increase their trust of the unconscious in the healing process.
