Breast reconstruction has many benefits for the patients in terms of rehabilitation, well-being and quality of life. A serie of ten patients who have had breast reconstruction with a latissimus dorsi flap in the past two years has been studied and short-term results have been reported. Several complications have been reported and include: necrosis, hematoma and infection. Many technical possibilities currently allow breast reconstruction to be offered to the majority of patients.
